Welcome to Breakfast CLUB

A place for kids and parents to get creative together - commitment-free, one-off playshops to get inspired, connected and mindful.

In this hands-on clay workshop, kids will learn real ceramic techniques like pinching, slab-building, and underglazing, all while having a blast. Step by step, they'll shape, decorate, and color a complete breakfast set that will be glazed and kiln-fired—making it shiny, strong, and food-safe.

Perfect for beginners and budding young artists alike, this course is designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and leave every child with something they can be proud of (and actually use every morning!).

Whether it’s for cereal and cocoa or just to show off at the breakfast table, this set is guaranteed to be full of personality—and 100% kid-made.

Step by Step

Step 1: Let’s Get Rolling (and Pinching!)
Kids will learn simple but awesome handbuilding techniques—pinching and slab rolling—to shape their very own bowl and mug. They'll explore how to shape clay using just their hands and basic tools.

Step 2: Add Some Personality!
Once the forms are built, kids can add fun details—handles, textures, stamps, or even sculpted features like animal faces or patterns to make their set uniquely theirs.

Step 3: Underglaze Art Attack!
Now for the color! Kids will use bright, brush-on underglazes to decorate their bowl and mug. Think bold patterns, smiley faces, rainbows—whatever their breakfast dreams are made of!

Step 4: The Big Reveal!
In four to five weeks the kids come back to pick up their glossy, finished breakfast sets—ready to use and show off at home!

FAQs

FAQs

Q: DO PARENTS TAKE PART IN THE MAKING TOO?

Yes. These sessions are designed to be enjoyed as a family, with both child and adult getting stuck in/ We have a discounted rate for the parents and this covers firing and painting for them too.

Q: WHAT IF I JUST WANT TO CHILL OUT OR CATCH UP ON EMAILS?

That’s ok. We have a comfy sofa and you are welcome to help yourself to tea/coffee and take a seat if you don’t want to participate yourself.

Q: MY CHILD HAS ADDITIONAL NEEDS. CAN WE ATTEND?

Of course. Do let us know in advance if you feel there is any information about your child’s needs that will help us give them the best experience. We have run numerous workshops for neurodivergent kids and young adults and have some experience of these settings, but should stress that this is personal rather than certified experience, and you will remain responsible for your own child throughout the session.

If you or your child have any physical accessibility requirements please let us know in advance as we can set the space up flexibly and will need to discuss bathroom access.
