What’s Included.

• At full level you get 10 studio blocks per month - that’s 30 hours of time! At the half level it’s 5 studio blocks, totalling 15 hours every month.

• up to 20 Glaze firings (EA) or 30 (full) litres of standard temperature firing per month.

How it Works.

• On signup, you’ll be given a booking code which allows you to schedule yourself into studio blocks.

• There’s a maximum number of 5 members allowed in the studio at one time so everyone has the physical space and tools access they needs

• Your studio time is organised in blocks that last 3 hours each. You cannot book in for less than 3 hours at a time.

• All allowances including firings reset each month

Criteria.

You must have completed our 8-Week Fundamentals Course or a similar foundational course at another studio in order to apply for membership. Get in touch to chat through your experience if you’re unsure.

This is the rationale: although one of our team will always be around during open studio sessions (for insurance, health & safety, and because they may be working on their own pieces) they are not there to teach you, and this means that you need to be able to work completely independently. They are always around for questions and if you need an extra pair of hands for tricky processes - but you need to be confident working alone.

Rules & Regs.

There’s a contract with the small print and FAQs in the Member Handbook - but these are a few key snapshots from our rulebook.

• your membership is for YOU and cannot be shared with someone else.

• we expect you to honour our sustainability policies and use the reclaim system and be considerate of resources (especially shared ones)

• you’ll need to stick to our house clays to avoid cross contamination - these are studio white, black chunk/black smooth, and terracotta.

• If you are doing something crazily experimental or untested, please speak to our team about private kiln hire! You are responsible for any costs associated with kiln damage or damage to other member’s work that occurs as a result of your processes.
